Arrowleaf Balsamroot

One of my favorite native flowers in this area is Arrowleaf Balsamroot. It loves sunny hillsides with sparse forest. Right now it is the peak of its bloom and is quite spectacular--my picture hardly does them justice.

We are also seeing a smaller yellow flower that looks very similar that is blooming in abundance near the cabin. It is smaller with a leaf that does not have the arrow shape and is slightly serrate. I think it is Serrate Balsamroot, though the pictures that I am finding online do not match. A balsamroot by any other name...
