It is now about 10 weeks before the beginning of my sabbatical. I set up this blog to chronicle my sabbatical both as a record for myself and for the enjoyment of family and friends.
The sabbatical is a very nice benefit of my employment--I am awarded an eight week sabbatical for every seven years of employment. Eight weeks of uninterrupted vacation!
My eight weeks will begin on May 15 and culminate with daughter Helen's wedding on July 11. The plan is to spend nearly all of my time at our cabin on Flathead Lake, taking care of small improvements and helping with wedding preparations.
